New DCI boss sworn in

The new DCI boss Mr Amin Mohammed Ibrahim has just been sworn in during a ceremony presided over by Hon Justice Martha Koome, Chief Justice and president of Supreme Court of Kenya.

Following his appointment as the new Director of DCI by H.E the President of Republic of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Ruto, CGH vide Gazette notice No. 213 dated 14th October 2022.

Before his appointment, Mr Amin has been serving as the NPS Director of Internal Affairs Unit (IAU).

The new Director was accompanied by the Ag.IG Mr Noor Gabow, CBS, OGW, DIG KPS, Mr Edward Mbugua CBS, OGW, ndc(K), the Chairman National Police Service Commission Mr. Eliud Kinuthia CBS ,OGW, among other senior Officers.

Speaking after being sworn, the new DCI boss stated that the Directorate will conduct investigations professionally to inspire confidence in the office of the DCI

He also noted that the Directorate shall work in harmony with counterparts within the NPS, judiciary and other correction services.

The Ag.IG Mr. Gabow in his speech, congratulated the new DCI Boss for his appointment to the position of the Director of Criminal Investigations.
